A Tribute to Allyson Joyce

Schedule of Events

Location: Lacey Township High School Lecture Hall
Time: ‎7:00PM Thursday, October 13th

"This is a FREE program no parent should miss. We encourage you to bring your high school and middle school students. Light refreshments will be served. At this informative and worthwhile event we will present three speakers: Nancy Joyce, founder of "Can U Hear Me" foundation and public speaker that has made it her mission to educate and guide youths and adults about addiction. By sharing her personal story, she teaches us that addiction can take hold of anyone, Heather Scanlon, Municipal Alliance Coordinator for Lacey Township and Lt. Joseph Pangaro, a 25 year veteran of Ocean Township Police Department and a public speaker on drug abuse awareness and prevention."

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 1st annual candlelight vigil & remembrance.  We paid tribute to the memory of Allyson Joyce as well as others that have or still are suffering as a result of substance abuse and addiction.

The choreographers of Dance Expressions have once again choreographed a phenomenal dance routine telling Allyson's struggle. The dance was amazing before but this years version will touch your heart beyond words.  This dance will perform and different events this year. Please invite us if your group is interested.

Last year we awarded a $750 scholarship to a Senior from Lacey High School. We also awarded two $400 scholarships to Students of Dance Expressions in Bayville,New Jersey.

Since two of Allyson's true passions were dance and education we are happy we are able to do this.  If you are interested in donating to the scholarship, please click on the contact us link. We also have pins ($5.00), sweatshirts and t-shirts (prices vary).

This past year I have been extremely busy traveling to New Jersey schools and talking to the students.  In January I spoke to our Lacey High School Freshman Health classes.  Since Allyson graduated from Lacey, I am very pleased that I had this opportunity.

Thank you Lacey HS PTSA for inviting me to speak to the parents and students.  I appreciate every opportunity to speak and the turnout was overwhelming.

Thank you Mrs.Connolley (Lacey HS) for inviting me back to talk to your graduating senior health classes.  Your students as always were respectful and listened to what I had to say.
